March 22, 2023: Newnan, GA 30265 In Wednesday's non-league battle, the visiting Columbus Blue Devils soccer squad scored a close 4-1 win over the Northgate Vikings.
The Blue Devils (13-1) will now prepare for their battle against Thomasville (Thomasville, GA). The Bulldogs enter the 3A Area 1 challenge with a 6-5 record. In their last challenge, Thomasville Deerfield-Windsor (Albany, GA), 2-2, in a non-league challenge.
The Vikings now have a 5-9 record. They take the field next when they travel to Northside for a 5A Area 3 challenge on Tuesday, March 28. Northgate will face a Patriots team coming off a 2-1 league loss to Drew (Riverdale, GA). The Patriots record now stands at 5-9.
