Illinois High School Baseball - Edwardsville holds off Joliet West
March 22, 2025: Joliet, IL 60435 The Edwardsville Tigers baseball team scored 9 runs and held the host Joliet West Tigers to 5 in the Tigers non-league win on Saturday.
The Tigers now own a 3-0 record. They take the field next when they host De Smet Jesuit for a non-league test on Tuesday, March 25. Edwardsville will play a Spartans team coming off a 5-3 non-league win over Washington (Washington, IL). The Spartans record now stands at 3-1.
With the defeat, Joliet West drops to 1-1 on the year. The Tigers host Rochester (Rochester, IL) to play the Rockets in a non-league test on Saturday, March 22. The Rockets go into the test with a record of 1-1. Rochester lost 3-2 in their recent non-league test against Normal West (Normal, IL)
