Pennsylvania High School Baseball - Shamokin Area holds off Mahanoy Area
March 22, 2025: Mahanoy City, PA 17948 The crowd at Saturday's non-league battle between the Shamokin Area Indians (Coal Township, PA) and the host Mahanoy Area Golden Bears (Mahanoy City, PA), saw Shamokin Area's baseball team gain a win over Mahanoy Area by a tally of 7-3.
The Indians (1-1) will now prepare for their battle against Danville (Danville, PA). The Ironmen enter the non-league battle with a 3-1 record. In their last battle, Danville held off Mifflinburg (Mifflinburg, PA), 14-1, in a league battle.
Next, the Golden Bears face the Minersville Battlin' Miners (Minersville, PA) in a Schuylkill County 2 battle, on Tuesday, March 25. Mahanoy Area will attempt to upgrade on its 0-2 season record. The Battlin' Miners enter the battle with a 2-0 record after their 7-0 non-league win over Panther Valley (Lansford, PA).
