March 22, 2025: Woodhull, IL 61490 The New Berlin/Franklin/Waverly Vipers (New Berlin, IL) baseball trounced the host Ridgewood [AlWood/Cambridge] Spartans (Woodhull, IL), 16-0 in Saturday's non-league challenge.
The Vipers now own a 2-1 record. They take the field next when they host Triopia/Meredosia-Chambersburg/Virginia for a non-league challenge on Monday, March 24. New Berlin/Franklin/Waverly will clash with a Trojans team coming off a 6-0 non-league loss to North Mac (Virden, IL). The Trojans record now stands at 0-1.
With the defeat, Ridgewood [AlWood/Cambridge] drops to 0-2 on the year. The Spartans host Bushnell-Prairie City (Bushnell, IL) to clash with the Spartans in a non-league challenge on Tuesday, March 25. The Spartans go into the challenge with a record of 0-2. Bushnell-Prairie City lost 14-0 in their recent league challenge against Illini West (Carthage, IL)
