Louisiana High School Softball - Sumner bounces Block
March 22, 2025: Kentwood, LA 70444 The crowd at Saturday's non-league bout between the Sumner Cowboys (Kentwood, LA) and the visiting Block Bears (Jonesville, LA), observed Sumner's softball team prevail over Block by a tally of 18-0.
The Cowboys (19-2) will now prepare for their bout against St. Scholastica (Covington, LA). The Doves go into the non-league bout with a 6-7 record. In their last bout, St. Scholastica was routed by Archbishop Hannan (Covington, LA), 16-0, in a league bout.
In their next game, the Bears clash with the Delhi Charter Gators (Delhi, LA) in a 1A District 4 bout, on Monday, March 24. Block will attempt to advance on its 2-15 season record. The Gators go into the bout with a 8-7 record after their 11-5 non-league loss to Summerfield (Summerfield, LA).
