In Saturday's non-league match, the visiting Wheeling Central Catholic Maroon Knights softball team scored a tight 11-6 victory over the Gilmer County Titans.

The Maroon Knights (2-0) will now prepare for their match against Philip Barbour (Philippi, WV). The Colts go into the non-league match with a 1-0 record. In their last match, Philip Barbour tipped Robert C. Byrd (Clarksburg, WV), 15-0, in a non-league match.
