March 23, 2023: Greenville, NC 27834 Oakwood Eagles (Greenville, NC) fans were thrilled Thursday as they observed their soccer team knock off the visiting Faith Christian Patriots (Rocky Mount, NC), 2-0 in a league challenge.
Next, the Eagles confront the Kerr-Vance Academy Spartans (Henderson, NC) in a NCISAA Carolina Independent 2A/1A challenge, on Friday, March 24. Oakwood will attempt to better on its 3-0 season record. The Spartans enter the challenge with a 2-5 record after their 6-2 non-league loss to Crossroads Christian (Henderson, NC).
The Patriots now have a 2-5 record. They take the field next when they host Community Christian for a non-league challenge on Friday, March 24. Faith Christian will confront a Cyclones team coming off a 9-0 league win over Victory Christian (Elizabeth City, NC). The Cyclones record now stands at 5-0.
