March 23, 2023: Smithfield, NC 27577 Hobbton Wildcats (Newton Grove, NC) fans were thrilled Thursday as they observed their soccer team knock off the host Neuse Charter Cougars (Smithfield, NC), 4-2 in a league challenge.
Next, the Wildcats face the Midway Raiders (Dunn, NC) in a non-league challenge, on Monday, March 27. Hobbton will attempt to better on its 7-1 season record. The Raiders enter the challenge with a 3-5 record after their 1-1 non-league Whiteville (Whiteville, NC).
The Cougars now have a 3-3 record. They take the field next when they travel to Rosewood for a Carolina 1A challenge on Tuesday, March 28.
