Illinois High School Soccer - Lakes nudges Richmond-Burton
March 23, 2023: Lake Villa, IL 60046 Lakes Eagles (Lake Villa, IL) fans were thrilled Thursday as they observed their soccer team hold off the visiting Richmond-Burton Rockets (Richmond, IL), 2-1 in a non-league challenge.
Next, the Eagles face the Crystal Lake Central Tigers (Crystal Lake, IL) in a non-league challenge, on Tuesday, April 4. Lakes will attempt to better on its 2-2 season record. The Tigers enter the challenge with a 2-1 record after their 2-1 non-league win over Belvidere North (Belvidere, IL).
The Rockets now have a 2-2 record. They take the field next when they travel to Woodstock North for a Kishwaukee River challenge on Monday, April 3. Richmond-Burton will face a Thunder team coming off a 8-2 non-league loss to Cary-Grove (Cary, IL). The Thunder record now stands at 2-1.
