Virginia High School Softball - Salem bounces James River
March 23, 2023: Salem, VA 24153 Spectators at Thursday's non-league match between the Salem Spartans (Salem, VA) and the visiting James River Knights (Buchanan, VA), witnessed Salem's softball squad prevail over James River by a count of 11-1.
The Spartans now sport a 3-1 record. They play next when they host Christiansburg for a non-league match on Friday, March 24. Salem will face a Blue Demons squad coming off a 11-1 non-league win over Auburn (Riner, VA). The Blue Demons record now stands at 1-2.
With the loss, James River moves to 1-1 on the season. The Knights host Rockbridge County (Lexington, VA) to face the Wildcats in a non-league match on Friday, March 24. The Wildcats go into the match with a record of 0-1.
