Spectators at Thursday's league match between the McMichael Phoenix (Mayodan, NC) and the host Morehead Panthers (Eden, NC), witnessed McMichael's softball squad prevail over Morehead by a count of 10-0.

The Phoenix now sport a 10-0 record. They play next when they travel to Walkertown for a Mid-State 2A match on Tuesday, March 28. McMichael will face a Wolfpack squad coming off a 14-3 non-league win over Mount Airy (Mount Airy, NC). The Wolfpack record now stands at 5-3.

With the loss, Morehead moves to 5-2 on the season. The Panthers host Williams (Burlington, NC) to face the Bulldogs in a non-league match on Monday, March 27. The Bulldogs go into the match with a record of 0-9. Williams lost 22-0 in their recent league match against Western Alamance (Elon, NC)
