In Thursday's non-league challenge, the Alexander Central Cougars (Taylorsville, NC) baseball squad triumphed over the visiting Mooresville Blue Devils (Mooresville, NC), by a final score of 10-2.

With the win, Alexander Central upgrades its record to 9-0 on the season. The Cougars travel to Watauga (Boone, NC) to battle the Pioneers in a Northwestern 3A/4A challenge on Friday, March 25. The Pioneers come into the challenge with a record of 6-2. Watauga won 15-5 in their recent league challenge against South Caldwell (Hudson, NC)

With the defeat, Mooresville falls to 3-6 on the season. The Blue devils host East Rowan (Salisbury, NC) to battle the Mustangs in a non-league challenge on Saturday, March 26. The Mustangs come into the challenge with a record of 9-0. East Rowan won 6-0 in their recent league challenge against Central Cabarrus (Concord, NC)
