Virginia High School Soccer - Grafton nudges Hanover
March 24, 2022: Mechanicsville, VA 23116 Grafton Clippers (Yorktown, VA) fans were pleased Thursday as they observed their soccer team hold off the host Hanover Hawks (Mechanicsville, VA), 3-2 in a non-league test.
The Clippers now sport a 3-0 record. They play next when they travel to Jamestown for a Bay Rivers test on Monday, March 28. Grafton will meet a Eagles squad coming off a 1-1 non-league Western Albemarle (Crozet, VA). The Eagles record now stands at 4-1.
With the loss, Hanover drops to 1-2 on the season. The Hawks host Varina (Richmond, VA) to meet the Blue Devils in a Capital test on Tuesday, March 29. The Blue Devils come into the test with a record of 0-3. Varina lost 10-0 in their recent league test against Patrick Henry (Ashland, VA)
