Kentucky High School Softball - Cooper holds off Woodford County
March 24, 2022: Versailles, KY 40383 Cooper Jaguars (Union, KY) backers exited the stadium thrilled Thursday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Woodford County Yellowjackets (Versailles, KY), 6-4 in a non-league challenge.
The Jaguars now own a 1-0 record. They take the field next when they host Campbell County for a non-league challenge on Friday, April 1. Cooper will battle a Camels squad coming off a 12-4 non-league win over Conner (Hebron, KY). The Camels record now stands at 3-2.
With the loss, Woodford County falls to 2-1 on the campaign. The Yellowjackets travel to Beech (Hendersonville, TN) to battle the Buccaneers in a non-league challenge on Friday, March 25. The Buccaneers enter the challenge with a record of 2-0. Beech won 13-0 in their recent league challenge against McGavock (Nashville, TN)
