The Safford Bulldogs softball team scored 7 runs and held the visiting Rincon/University Rangers to 1 in the Bulldogs non-league win on Tuesday.

The Bulldogs now sport a 8-9 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Thatcher for a 3A South battle on Thursday, March 26. Safford will confront a Eagles team coming off a 3-1 league loss to Pusch Ridge Christian Academy (Tucson, AZ). The Eagles record now stands at 6-6.

With the loss, Rincon/University moves to 2-8 on the season. The Rangers host Cibola (Yuma, AZ) to confront the Raiders in a non-league battle on Thursday, March 26.
