March 25, 2022: Newcastle, WY 82701 The crowd at Friday's non-league test between the Powell Panthers (Powell, WY) and the host Newcastle Dogies (Newcastle, WY), saw Powell's soccer squad triumph over Newcastle by a margin of 8-0.
The Panthers now sport a 2-0 record. They play next when they travel to Cody for a 3A West test on Tuesday, March 29. Powell will meet a Broncs squad coming off a 5-0 non-league loss to Sheridan (Sheridan, WY). The Broncs record now stands at 1-1.
With the loss, Newcastle drops to 0-2 on the season. The Dogies host Riverton (Riverton, WY) to meet the Wolverines in a non-league test on Friday, March 25. The Wolverines come into the test with a record of 1-1. Riverton won 6-0 in their recent league test against Rawlins (Rawlins, WY)
