In Friday's non-league contest, the Greenbrier East Spartans (Lewisburg, WV) softball team the visiting Ripley Vikings (Ripley, WV), by a margin of 9-6.

With the triumph, Greenbrier East moves its record to 3-1 on the year. The Spartans travel to Woodrow Wilson (Beckley, WV) to play the Flying Eagles in a Mountain State contest on Monday, March 28.
