Pennsylvania High School Softball - Belle Vernon bounces South Allegheny
March 25, 2023: Belle Vernon, PA 15012 The Belle Vernon Leopards (Belle Vernon, PA) softball routed the visiting South Allegheny Gladiators (McKeesport, PA), 17-1 in Saturday's non-league bout.
The Leopards (1-0) will now prepare for their bout against Laurel Highlands (Uniontown, PA). The Mustangs go into the WPIAL 4A 2 bout with a 0-3 record. In their last bout, Laurel Highlands was routed by Elizabeth Forward (Elizabeth, PA), 8-2, in a league bout.
The Gladiators now possess a 2-2 record. They play next when they host McKeesport for a non-league bout on Tuesday, March 28. South Allegheny will confront a Tigers squad coming off a 8-7 non-league win over Serra Catholic (McKeesport, PA). The Tigers record now stands at 3-0.
