March 25, 2023: Chino, CA 91710 The La Mirada Matadores (La Mirada, CA) softball nipped the host Chino Cowboys (Chino, CA), 3-2 in Saturday's non-league bout.
The Matadores (7-6) will now prepare for their bout against Kennedy (La Palma, CA). The Fighting Irish go into the non-league bout with a 6-4 record. In their last bout, Kennedy held off Rosary Academy (Fullerton, CA), 10-3, in a non-league bout.
The Cowboys now possess a 1-8 record. They play next when they travel to Santa Fe for a non-league bout on Saturday, March 25. Chino will confront a Chiefs squad coming off a 13-1 league win over Whittier (Whittier, CA). The Chiefs record now stands at 11-5.
