Washington High School Soccer - Mariner held off by Mount Vernon
March 25, 2024: Mount Vernon, WA 98273 The crowd at Monday's non-league test between the Mount Vernon Bulldogs (Mount Vernon, WA) and the visiting Mariner Marauders (Everett, WA), saw Mount Vernon's soccer squad get by Mariner by a count of 2-1.
The Bulldogs now hold a 4-2 record. They play next when they travel to Anacortes for a 1A/2A/3A Northwest test on Thursday, March 28. Mount Vernon will meet a Seahawks squad coming off a 5-1 league loss to Bellingham (Bellingham, WA). The Seahawks record now stands at 2-3.
With the loss, Mariner drops to 1-4 on the season. The Marauders host Glacier Peak (Snohomish, WA) to meet the Grizzlies in a 4A Wesco test on Friday, March 29. The Grizzlies come into the test with a record of 4-0. Glacier Peak won 5-0 in their recent non-league test against Evergreen (Seattle, WA)
