March 25, 2024: Springfield, VA 22152 The Grove City Greyhounds softball team scored 8 runs and limited the host West Springfield Spartans to 4 in the Greyhounds league triumph on Monday.
With the triumph, Grove City improves its record to 3-0 on the year. The Greyhounds travel to Langley (McLean, VA) to clash with the Saxons in a non-league game on Tuesday, March 26. The Saxons come into the game with a record of 5-0. Langley won 12-2 in their recent non-league game against St. Hubert Catholic for Girls (Philadelphia, PA)
In their next game, the Spartans clash with the Lincoln Cougars (Shinnston, WV) in a Big Ten game, on Tuesday, March 26. West Springfield will attempt to improve on its 3-3 season record. The Cougars come into the game with a 0-2 record after their 13-5 league loss to Lewis County (Weston, WV).
