A walk-off left the Mayfield Wildcats on the wrong end of a 9-8 defeat to Mt. Vernon on Monday. Despite the loss the Mayfield Varsity wildcats out hit Mt. Vernon 14 hits to 10. Ava Migliorini, Sarah Piazza, Emily Daedelow, Angeleah Saltenis, Ella Garrett and Lilly Pinzone each collected two hits for the Wildcats. Emily Daedelow's offensive performance powered the wildcats with a 2 run home run in the sixth inning. Freshman Emma Arth started the game for the wildcats, and recorded her first varsity strikeout against Mt. Vernon.
