California High School Softball - Sierra bounces Riverdale

The Sierra Chieftains softball team scored 15 runs and held the visiting Riverdale Cowboys to 0 in the Chieftains league win on Tuesday.

The Chieftains now possess a 5-4 record. They put it on the line next when they host Avenal for a non-league battle on Wednesday, March 26. Sierra will confront a Buccaneers team coming off a 12-4 non-league win over Mariposa County (Mariposa, CA). The Buccaneers record now stands at 8-0.

With the loss, Riverdale drops to 5-3 on the campaign. The Cowboys host Liberty (Madera, CA) to battle the Hawks in a Northwest Sequoia- North bout on Thursday, March 27. The Hawks go into the bout with a record of 8-3. Liberty won 5-0 in their recent non-league bout against Selma (Selma, CA)
