Illinois High School Softball - Farina South Central bounces Champaign Central
March 26, 2022: Champaign, IL 61820 Farina South Central Cougars (Farina, IL) backers exited the stadium thrilled Saturday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Champaign Central Maroons (Champaign, IL), 7-1 in a non-league challenge.
The Cougars now own a 3-1 record. They take the field next when they host Vandalia for a non-league challenge on Monday, March 28. Farina South Central will face a Vandals squad coming off a 10-9 non-league win over Lincolnwood (Raymond, IL). The Vandals record now stands at 1-0.
With the loss, Champaign Central falls to 0-3 on the campaign. The Maroons travel to Hoopeston (Hoopeston, IL) to face the Cornjerkers in a non-league challenge on Monday, March 28. The Cornjerkers enter the challenge with a record of 3-1. Hoopeston won 8-7 in their recent non-league challenge against Urbana (Urbana, IL)
