Johnston City Indians (Johnston City, IL) backers exited the stadium thrilled Sunday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Bellbrook Golden Eagles (Bellbrook, OH), 8-3 in a non-league challenge.

The Indians now own a 7-0 record. They take the field next when they travel to Saks for a non-league challenge on Monday, March 27. Johnston City will battle a Wildcats squad coming off a 15-4 league loss to Weaver (Weaver, AL). The Wildcats record now stands at 0-5.

With the loss, Bellbrook falls to 0-1 on the campaign. The Golden eagles travel to Brookville (Brookville, OH) to battle the Blue Devils in a Southwestern Buckeye - Southwestern challenge on Monday, April 3. The Blue Devils enter the challenge with a record of 1-0. Brookville won 16-0 in their recent non-league challenge against Dixie (New Lebanon, OH)
