Spectators at Wednesday's league challenge between the Minarets Mustangs (O'Neals, CA) and the visiting Caruthers Blue Raiders (Caruthers, CA), witnessed Minarets's baseball team hold off Caruthers by a count of 2-1.

The Mustangs now own a 5-5 record. They take the field next when they travel to Fowler for a Northwest Sequoia challenge on Friday, March 28. Minarets will clash with a Redcats team coming off a 8-0 league win over Yosemite (Oakhurst, CA). The Redcats record now stands at 7-1.

With the defeat, Caruthers drops to 3-8 on the year. The Blue raiders travel to Firebaugh (Firebaugh, CA) to clash with the Eagles in a non-league challenge on Thursday, March 27. The Eagles go into the challenge with a record of 1-9. Firebaugh lost 10-0 in their recent non-league challenge against Fresno (Fresno, CA)
