In Wednesday's non-league game, the visiting Grimsley Whirlies baseball team scored a close 4-2 victory over the Southeast Alamance Stallions.

The Whirlies (10-2) will now prepare for their game against Ragsdale (Jamestown, NC). The Tigers enter the Metro 4A game with a 8-4 record. In their last game, Ragsdale held off Northeast Guilford (McLeansville, NC), 22-1, in a non-league game.
