Indiana High School Softball - Bremen bounces Manchester
March 26, 2025: Bremen, IN 46506 The Bremen Lions softball team scored 8 runs and held the visiting Manchester Squires to 2 in the Lions non-league win on Wednesday.
The Lions now sport a 2-0 record. They put it on the line next when they host Fairfield for a non-league battle on Thursday, March 27. Bremen will confront a Falcons team coming off a 4-1 non-league loss to Elkhart (Elkhart, IN). The Falcons record now stands at 0-1.
With the loss, Manchester moves to 1-1 on the season. The Squires host Fort Wayne Wayne (Fort Wayne, IN) to confront the Generals in a non-league battle on Thursday, March 27. The Generals come into the battle with a record of 0-1. Fort Wayne Wayne lost 15-3 in their recent non-league battle against Heritage (Monroeville, IN)

Bremen Lady Lions Softball Improve to 2-0 with an 8-2 win over Manchester
The Lady Lions held the Squires hitless in the first & then tallied for 4 runs in the bottom. of the frame. Eliana Grubbs had a lead-off walk, then scored on a double by Chrissy Grabowski. Delainey Neher drew another walk, Madi Milleman reached on a fielder’s choice, & Peyton Johnson reached first on a dropped 3rd strike. With bases loaded, senior Maci Binkely doubled over the left fielder’s head to clear the bases giving the Lions a 4-0 lead after one inning. Grabowski helped herself with a solo shot, no-doubter home run over center field fence.
Binkley lead off the 4th with a walk, Aubri O’Keefe singled , a Peyton Reed sacrifice bunt, moved the runners to 2nd & 3rd. Grubbs singled scoring Binkley, Grabowski walked, a Neher added a sacrifice fly to score Milleman.
Grubbs lead-off the bottom of the 6th with a double and scored on a single Nehr
Grubbs & Neher had 2 hits each to lead the 7 hit attack.
