Hough Huskies (Cornelius, NC) backers left the game pleased Wednesday as they saw their softball squad nudge the host South Mecklenburg Sabres (Charlotte, NC), 5-4 in a non-league game.

With the triumph, Hough upgrades its record to 9-2 on the year. The Huskies host Harding University (Charlotte, NC) to play the Rams in a Queen City 3A/4A game on Thursday, March 27. The Rams enter the game with a record of 0-4. Harding University lost 22-4 in their recent league game against West Charlotte (Charlotte, NC)

The Sabres now own a 7-7 record. They play next when they host Olympic for a So Meck 4A game on Thursday, March 27. South Mecklenburg will play a Trojans squad coming off a 22-7 league loss to Berry (Charlotte, NC). The Trojans record now stands at 0-10.
