West Valley Eagles (Cottonwood, CA) supporters exited the stadium thrilled Thursday as they witnessed their baseball team beat the host Corning Cardinals (Corning, CA), 13-0 in a non-league game.

The Eagles (8-3) will now prepare for their game against Yreka (Yreka, CA). The Miners go into the Northern game with a 4-10 record. In their last game, Yreka was overwhelmed by Hidden Valley (Grants Pass, OR), 15-1, in a non-league game.

Next up, the Cardinals battle the Gridley Bulldogs (Gridley, CA) in a Westside League outing, on Tuesday, March 31. Corning will attempt to advance on its 4-7 season record. The Bulldogs come into the outing with a 6-3 record after their 10-0 non-league win over Redding Christian (Palo Cedro, CA).
