The Normal West Wildcats softball team (Normal, IL), was routed 14-1 in Thursday's non-league bout with the visiting Independence Eagles (Thompson's Station, TN)

The Eagles (11-3) will now prepare for their bout against Warren County (McMinnville, TN). The Pioneers & Lady Pioneers go into the non-league bout with a 5-5 record. In their last bout, Warren County was routed by Greenwood (Bowling Green, KY), 12-3, in a non-league bout.

In their next game, the Wildcats clash with the Dyer County Choctaws (Newbern, TN) in a non-league bout, on Friday, March 27. Normal West will attempt to advance on its 1-5 season record. The Choctaws go into the bout with a 7-3 record after their 24-0 league win over Dyersburg (Dyersburg, TN).
