The Kaplan Pirates edged the host Iowa Yellowjackets softball squad by a count of 5-4 in Thursday's non-league challenge.

Next, the Pirates meet the Dutchtown Griffins (Geismar, LA) in a non-league challenge, on Tuesday, March 31. Kaplan will attempt to upgrade on its 19-3 season record.

The Yellowjackets (10-10) will now prepare for their challenge against Holy Savior Menard (Alexandria, LA). The Eagles enter the non-league challenge with a 9-10 record.
