The Mandarin Mustangs baseball team scored 9 runs and held the visiting Suncoast Chargers to 5 in the Mustangs non-league win on Thursday.

The Mustangs now hold a 10-9 record. They take the field next when they travel to Fletcher for a 6A District 3 test on Friday, March 28. Mandarin will play a Senators team coming off a 8-2 non-league win over Bishop Kenny (Jacksonville, FL). The Senators record now stands at 11-6.

With the defeat, Suncoast drops to 11-8 on the year. The Chargers travel to Clay (Green Cove Springs, FL) to play the Blue Devils in a non-league test on Friday, March 28. The Blue Devils go into the test with a record of 12-6. Clay won 9-4 in their recent non-league test against Middleburg (Middleburg, FL)
