In Thursday's non-league game, the visiting Sunset Apollos baseball team scored a close 14-7 victory over the Mountain Ridge Mountain Lions.

The Apollos (1-2) will now prepare for their game against Ridgeview (Redmond, OR). The Ravens enter the non-league game with a 2-1 record. In their last game, Ridgeview held off Verrado (Buckeye, AZ), 9-5, in a non-league game.

Next, the Mountain Lions face the Boulder Creek Jaguars (Anthem, AZ) in a 6A Desert Valley game, on Tuesday, April 1. Mountain Ridge will attempt to improve on its 5-10 season record. The Jaguars enter the game with a 4-10 record after their 5-4 league loss to O'Connor (Phoenix, AZ).
