The crowd at Thursday's non-league bout between the Union Area Scotties (New Castle, PA) and the visiting Ellwood City Wolverine (Ellwood City, PA), observed Union Area's softball team get by Ellwood City by a tally of 12-8.

The Scotties (3-0) will now prepare for their bout against Neshannock (New Castle, PA). The Lancers go into the non-league bout with a 2-0 record. In their last bout, Neshannock tipped New Castle (New Castle, PA), 12-1, in a non-league bout.

In their next game, the Wolverine clash with the Montour Spartans (McKees Rocks, PA) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, April 1. Ellwood City will attempt to advance on its 2-2 season record.
