The crowd at Thursday's non-league bout between the Port Allen Pelicans (Port Allen, LA) and the visiting Phoenix Spartans (Braithwaite, LA), observed Port Allen's softball team notch a victory over Phoenix by a final score of 23-8.

The Pelicans (6-8) will now prepare for their bout against Port Barre (Port Barre, LA). The Red Devils go into the non-league bout with a 10-7 record.

In their next game, the Spartans battle the Mt. Hermon Yellowjackets (Mt. Hermon, LA) in a non-league bout, on Monday, March 31. Phoenix will attempt to better on its 2-4 season record.
