Independence Eagles (Thompson's Station, TN) fans left the game pleased Friday as they observed their baseball squad achieve victory over the visiting Centennial Cougars (Franklin, TN), 13-2 in a league match.

With the triumph, Independence advances its record to 11-5 on the season. The Eagles travel to Siegel (Murfreesboro, TN) to battle the Stars in a non-league match on Monday, March 30. The Stars come into the match with a record of 18-1. Siegel lost 9-3 in their recent non-league match against Clarksville (Clarksville, TN)

The Cougars now have a 10-7 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Brentwood for a 4A District 11 test on Monday, March 30. Centennial will play a Bruins team coming off a 10-3 league loss to Page (Franklin, TN). The Bruins record now stands at 7-6.
