March 28, 2024: Holly Springs, MS 38635 The crowd at Thursday's league match between the Jumpertown Cardinals (Booneville, MS) and the host Byers Lions (Holly Springs, MS), saw Jumpertown's softball squad achieve victory over Byers by a count of 16-0.
The Cardinals now sport a 4-3 record. They take the field next when they travel to Pine Grove for a 1A Region 2 match on Tuesday, April 2. Jumpertown will face a Panthers squad coming off a 9-6 league loss to Myrtle (Myrtle, MS). The Panthers record now stands at 11-8.
With the loss, Byers falls to 0-6 on the campaign. The Lions travel to Ashland (Ashland, MS) to face the Blue Devils in a 1A Region 2 match on Tuesday, April 2. The Blue Devils enter the match with a record of 1-6. Ashland lost 23-0 in their recent league match against Falkner (Falkner, MS)
