In Thursday's non-league contest, the Hoover Huskies (Clendenin, WV) softball team held off the visiting Hurricane Redskins (Hurricane, WV), by a margin of 2-1.

With the triumph, Hoover moves its record to 10-0 on the year. The Huskies travel to Nitro (Nitro, WV) to play the Wildcats in a Cardinal contest on Friday, March 29. The Wildcats come into the contest with a record of 1-6. Nitro lost 13-3 in their recent league contest against Poca (Poca, WV)

In their next game, the Redskins play the South Charleston Black Eagles (South Charleston, WV) in a Mountain State contest, on Friday, March 29. Hurricane will attempt to move on its 4-3 season record. The Black Eagles come into the contest with a 4-6 record after their 14-0 league loss to Cabell Midland (Ona, WV).
