In Friday's non-league bout, the Independence Eagles (Thompson's Station, TN) baseball squad the host Columbia Central Lions (Columbia, TN), by a tally of 6-4.

Next up, the Eagles encounter the Brentwood Bruins (Brentwood, TN) in a 4A District 11 bout, on Monday, March 31. Independence will attempt to upgrade on its 10-5 season record. The Bruins enter the bout with a 7-3 record after their 7-2 non-league win over Overton (Nashville, TN).
