West Virginia High School Baseball - Wheeling Central Catholic edges Hurricane
March 28, 2025: Hurricane, WV 25526 In Friday's non-league game, the visiting Wheeling Central Catholic Maroon Knights baseball team scored a close 6-3 victory over the Hurricane Redskins.
The Maroon Knights (2-0) will now prepare for their battle against Charleston Catholic (Charleston, WV). The Irish enter the Freelance battle with a 2-0 record. In their last battle, Charleston Catholic held off Chapmanville Regional (Chapmanville, WV), 7-3, in a non-league battle.
Next, the Redskins face the Independence Patriots (Coal City, WV) in a non-league battle, on Saturday, March 29. Hurricane will attempt to upgrade on its 6-1 season record. The Patriots enter the battle with a 1-1 record after their 14-4 non-league loss to Scott (Madison, WV).
