March 28, 2025: Palestine, AR 72372 The Maumelle Hornets (Maumelle, AR) baseball trounced the host Palestine-Wheatley Patriots (Palestine, AR), 10-0 in Friday's non-league challenge.
The Hornets now own a 6-2 record. They take the field next when they host Parkview for a 5A Central challenge on Tuesday, April 1. Maumelle will clash with a Patriots team coming off a 14-4 non-league loss to Riverview (Searcy, AR). The Patriots record now stands at 0-4.
With the defeat, Palestine-Wheatley drops to 7-6 on the year. The Patriots travel to Carlisle (Carlisle, AR) to clash with the Bison in a 2A Region 6 challenge on Monday, March 31. The Bison go into the challenge with a record of 11-3.
