Texas High School Baseball - Anna wallops Independence
March 28, 2026: Frisco, TX 75035 The crowd at Saturday's non-league battle between the Anna Coyotes (Anna, TX) and the host Independence Knights (Frisco, TX), saw Anna's baseball team gain a win over Independence by a tally of 13-3.
The Coyotes (4-11) will now prepare for their battle against Greenville (Greenville, TX). The Lions come into the 5A Region II District 9 contest with a 4-13 record. In their last contest, Greenville was overwhelmed by Sherman (Sherman, TX), 14-1, in a league contest.
The Knights now possess a 3-12 record. They put it on the line next when they host Memorial for a 5A Region II District 11 contest on Tuesday, March 31. Independence will confront a Warriors squad coming off a 3-2 non-league loss to Wakeland (Frisco, TX). The Warriors record now stands at 6-8.
