March 28, 2026: Southern Pines, NC 28387

Fans at Saturday's non-league contest between the Pinecrest Patriots (Southern Pines, NC) and the visiting Willow Spring Storm (Fuquay-Varina, NC), witnessed Pinecrest's lacrosse squad hold off Willow Spring by a count of 7-6.

The Patriots (6-2) will now prepare for their contest against Cape Fear (Fayetteville, NC). The Colts enter the Conference 5 contest with a 0-4 record. In their last contest, Cape Fear was nipped by Terry Sanford (Fayetteville, NC), 17-2, in a league contest.

Next, the Storm encounter the Apex Friendship Patriots (Apex, NC) in a Conference 8 battle, on Tuesday, April 7. Willow Spring will attempt to advance on its 3-8 season record. The Patriots come into the battle with a 9-1 record after their 8-7 non-league win over Topsail (Hampstead, NC).
