Maxwell Panthers (Maxwell, CA) supporters left the game thrilled Saturday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Fall River Bulldogs (McArthur, CA), 5-4 in a non-league game.

With the triumph, Maxwell improves its record to 6-8 on the year. The Panthers travel to Portola (Portola, CA) to battle the Tigers in a Mid-Valley match on Friday, April 3. The Tigers come into the match with a record of 13-1. Portola won 7-0 in their recent non-league game against Loyalton (Loyalton, CA)
