The crowd at Tuesday's non-league match between the New Iberia Yellowjackets (New Iberia, LA) and the visiting St. Martinville Tigers (St. Martinville, LA), saw New Iberia's softball squad achieve victory over St. Martinville by a count of 17-2.

The Yellowjackets now sport a 7-17 record. They take the field next when they host Barbe for a 5A District 3 match on Friday, April 1. New Iberia will face a Buccaneers squad coming off a 10-0 league win over Lafayette (Lafayette, LA). The Buccaneers record now stands at 14-5.

With the loss, St. Martinville falls to 0-5 on the campaign. The Tigers travel to Westgate (New Iberia, LA) to encounter the Tigers in a non-league test on Monday, April 4. The Tigers come into the test with a record of 1-6.
