March 29, 2023: Monticello, IL 61856 Spectators at Wednesday's non-league battle between the Monticello Sages (Monticello, IL) and the visiting Champaign Central Maroons (Champaign, IL), saw Monticello's baseball squad knock off Champaign Central by a count of 8-1.
Coming up next, the Sages play the Prairie Central Hawks (Fairbury, IL) in a Illini Prairie battle, on Thursday, March 30. Monticello will attempt to move on its 4-1 season record. The Hawks enter the battle with a 1-2 record after their 6-3 non-league win over Lexington (Lexington, IL).
