Northwest Guilford Vikings (Greensboro, NC) fans exited the stadium thrilled Friday as they observed their baseball squad hold off the host Carson Cougars (China Grove, NC), 6-5 in a non-league test.

With the win, Northwest Guilford upgrades its record to 9-1 on the season. The Vikings travel to West Rowan (Mt. Ulla, NC) to battle the Falcons in a non-league test on Saturday, March 30. The Falcons come into the test with a record of 8-3. West Rowan won 11-4 in their recent non-league test against Mooresville (Mooresville, NC)

With the defeat, Carson falls to 6-5 on the season. The Cougars host South Iredell (Statesville, NC) to battle the Vikings in a non-league test on Saturday, March 30. The Vikings come into the test with a record of 7-5. South Iredell lost 11-2 in their recent non-league test against East Rowan (Salisbury, NC)
