Virginia High School Softball - McLean can't hold off Grove City
March 29, 2024: McLean, VA 22101 The Grove City Greyhounds softball team scored 8 runs and limited the host McLean Highlanders to 7 in the Greyhounds non-league triumph on Friday.
With the triumph, Grove City improves its record to 7-1 on the year. The Greyhounds travel to Beaver (Beaver, PA) to clash with the Bobcats in a WPIAL 4A 3 game on Friday, March 29. The Bobcats come into the game with a record of 1-1. Beaver won 11-2 in their recent non-league game against Westerville Central (Westerville, OH)
In their next game, the Highlanders clash with the Herndon Hornets (Herndon, VA) in a Liberty game, on Tuesday, April 2. McLean will attempt to improve on its 4-1 season record. The Hornets come into the game with a 4-2 record after their 8-4 league win over George C. Marshall (Falls Church, VA).
