Illinois High School Softball - LaSalle-Peru can't get by Normal University
March 29, 2024: Normal, IL 61761 In Friday's non-league contest, the Normal University Pioneers (Normal, IL) softball team held off the visiting LaSalle-Peru Cavaliers (LaSalle, IL), by a margin of 1-0.
With the triumph, Normal University moves its record to 6-2 on the year. The Pioneers host Springfield (Springfield, IL) to play the Senators in a Central State Eight contest on Wednesday, April 3. The Senators come into the contest with a record of 6-1. Springfield won 3-0 in their recent non-league contest against Bloomington (Bloomington, IL)
In their next game, the Cavaliers play the Marian Central Catholic Hurricanes (Woodstock, IL) in a non-league game, on Saturday, March 30. LaSalle-Peru will attempt to improve on its 3-3 season record. The Hurricanes come into the game with a 2-3 record after their 11-1 non-league loss to Richmond-Burton (Richmond, IL).
